    Description

    Soviet Military Field Binoculars, 6x30 magnification, made in 1928.
    This very uncommon early piece shows the 1928 date of manufacture as well as a factory quality inspection / refurbishment date of 1937. Note the extremely low serial number 2725. On the left side is a manufacturer’s logo “GOZ” (State Optics Factory located in Moscow.)
    The binoculars are in good condition. The optics is clear, although there are a couple of specks visible – this may well be dust that may be possible to clean off. The grid lines are present, albeit skewed (perhaps this can be fixed too by someone who is an expert in optics). All the original screws are present. The rings holding the objective lenses are likewise original and although showing some minor wear, generally intact. There is a worn area on the underside of the right barrel, but most of the original finish is still intact and overall looks very presentable.
